I hate the Lakers: with a touch of irony
I still hate the Lakers. But you know what is a bit ironic? With no one to hate in the NBA Finals I really can't get all that excited about it. I neither strongly dislike nor particular like the San Antonio Spurs or the New Jersey Nets. As a result I just don't feel like watching. I guess I am not a big enough basketball fan to watch without a little drama or some strong personal feelings about the matchup. I wish I could watch the Lakers lose again . . .

Root for the spurs, then. I used to play ball with the Admiral's little brother.
Well, as a Spurs fan I've been impressed with both teams so far. The matchups are quite even whether it's Duncan proving why he was voted MVP or Jason Kidd coming off a lousy Game 1 performance to deliver in Game 2.
Sure the Spurs are favored (and they will win), but the Nets won't just roll over like they did to LA last year.
Of course tonight is Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals, there's some drama for ya.
