Internal Server Error?
I have been getting these wierd messages when I try to post using MT. Here is what I get:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@kevinholtsberry.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.27 Server at www.kevinholtsberry.com Port 80
Does anyone know what this means and what might be causing it? I don’t lose the post, I just get the error message. I have no idea what to do.

What version of MT are you running?
Have you installed any plug-ins lately?
I had a similar error a while back and my was due to an MT plug-in that didn’t work correctly.
I attempted to do a search in MT’s support forum, but “Internal Server Error” brings up way too many results.
I had a spate of those last winter. If you hit the Back button, then wait, the update will go through nine times out of ten. (In IE 6, anyway.)
And eventually, multiple reboots having failed to solve the problem for more than a few days, the host discovered that they had some defective hardware out in my little corner of the server farm. Everything’s back to normal now.
