If you like golf you will want to watch the Ford Championship at Doral this afternoon. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are in the final pairing. And a look at the Leaderboard right now shows the top three players in the world fighting it out. Vijay Singh has birdied the first four holes to pull within 4 of Mickelson and Tiger is only 2 back. If Tiger wins he will regain the number one ranking in the world. Mickelson is looking to stake his claim as the dominant player in golf while Vijay looks to hang on to his #1 ranking and prove that last year was no fluke. I know I will be tuned in.

Just read your article at NRO - congrats on a good write-up!

I also got to watch the finish to that on Sunday and it was great. My favorite part was when they showed Tiger’s reaction to Phil missing his birdie chip on the 18th. Tiger didn’t even flinch since he was concentrating on the putt he had left.

I also liked that Phil was able to smile and enjoy his good shots, unlike Tiger. The most you get out of him is the fist-clinch. Hopefully he can get more fun out of the game, even though the tension is sky-high.

I noticed in your article you spelled the term for one-over par as “boggies”. I had seen that before spelled as “bogeys”. Is there some reference for that to double-check the correct spelling? Curious golfers would like to know.

    Marc,

I think you are right. The correct spelling seems to be bogeys. I will point that out to NRO.
