State Legislators wager over OSU – UM game
Here is an example of how serious the Ohio State Michigan game is taken around here: Lawmakers place friendly bet on Ohio State-Michigan game.
Householder and Michigan House Speaker Rick Johnson, also a Republican, agreed Thursday to back their loyalties with song. The speaker from the losing state has to sing the winner’s alma mater.
Under the wager, an Ohio State win means Johnson will perform his rendition of “Carmen Ohio” for Michigan legislators. A win by Michigan, however, means Householder will sing “The Yellow and Blue” in the Ohio House chamber.
